Amrita Karma Yoga

We currently have openings in the karma yoga program at the M.A. Center in San Ramon, California for devotees who would like to immerse themselves in the ashram environment and be involved in service projects.

Year round opportunities are available with the medical donations and the fruit forest projects. The medical donations project involves sorting, inventorying and packing donated materials for hospitals and clinics in India. The fruit forest project involves various farming activities to help establish a permaculture fruit forest based on organic practices and the soil food web.

Seasonal opportunities occur during the few weeks before Amma’s tours in late spring and late fall help us prepare for Amma’s programs.

Those who apply should be able to get along well with others in a community atmosphere and be able to do physical seva (i.e. lifting, carrying, bending).
