When asked about reading spiritual texts Amma once said that, if a person wants an object he will enquire about where to find it. From a map he will get directions to go to the place where the object can be found. But he will not get the object unless he actually goes there and fetches it. Likewise, spiritual texts serve as good pointers and spiritual practices serve as the means to attain the highest Truth.

The M. A. Center library offers an eclectic selection of books on spirituality and philosophy. Our collection includes books on Vedanta, scriptural books on Ramayana, Mahabharata, Devi Mahatmyam, selected readings on Vedic Astrology amongst others. We also carry a varied collection of Amma's books, videos, bhajans, and satsangs by Amma's senior disciples. Our DVD/Video section also includes the highly popular scriptural indian TV serials - Ramayana, Mahabharata, Krishna, to name a few.

In our kids' section, we offer most Disney videos, animated videos on hinduism and a vast collection of children's books and comics.
